A big hurray! Chancerygate Foundation Bursary for International Students at LSBU in the UK for 2023 is now open for applications.
A Chancerygate Foundation Bursary will be offered to African and Caribbean students at London South Bank University in the academic year 2022-2023. Students from all countries are eligible to apply for the programme, whether they are new or returning.
It is open to African and Caribbean students who want to enroll in undergraduate surveying programs leading to Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) certification. The program will enable qualified students to overcome obstacles and establish stable careers in the real estate industry.

The selection criteria
- African and Caribbean heritage is part of your identity.
- You earn less than £25,000 a year for your household.
- The course is open to students under 26 years old.
- Your family has progressed to higher education for the first time.
- In your opinion, you are disabled or have a specific learning difference.
- Your family is estranged from you or you have spent time in care in the UK.
- Young adult careers are recognized by social services.
- As your main qualification, you hold a BTEC.
- You are a mature student (over 21 years old on the first day of the course) without a bachelor’s degree
Subjects to be covered
Undergraduate degrees are offered in building surveying or quantity surveying at the university.
Applicant’s Method
Applicants must register with LSBU’s Online Application System in order to apply. UCAS is the application system for international undergraduate students. If you have any questions after that, please feel free to contact us at breakingbarriers@lsbu.ac.uk.
The following benefits are included in the application:
- During the program, students will receive £10,000 in living expenses and have the opportunity to gain real work experience in the industry.
- Unless students are undertaking a placement year, bursaries will be paid during each year of study for students on a multi-year degree course.
- There will be two equal instalments of $5,000 for bursary recipients.
- Bursaries are contingent upon students progressing to their next year of study.
