2023 University of the West Annual Scholarship Grants in the United States – Fully Funded

It’s great! We are pleased to announce the University of the West scholarship grant for 2023, which will be available to high achievers worldwide. At the University of the West, students can apply for a variety of scholarships ranging from a few thousand dollars up to the full cost of tuition. Scholarships are awarded based on grades, leadership skills, community service, and other factors. There is no repayment requirement for scholarships, unlike loans.

SCHOLARSHIP FOR THE LOTUS 

Scholarships will be awarded to undergraduate candidates in the amount of $6,000 per year, and to graduate candidates in the amount of $7,000. For consideration, students must be enrolled in a UWest degree-granting program.

THEMETTA SCHOLARSHIP

Students with a minimum 3.0 GPA who are entering the University of the West are eligible for a renewable scholarship of $6,000 each year. Regionally or nationally accredited community colleges and four-year colleges will give preference to students with at least 30 units.

 

SCHOLARSHIP OF THE DREAM

First-time undocumented students from disadvantaged backgrounds can apply for a $10,000 scholarship each year based on their financial need. Financial need and a high school GPA of 2.8 or higher are required.

A SCHOLARSHIP FOR THE PRESIDENT

This award recognizes outstanding leadership qualities as well as a minimum GPA of 3.75/3.75 (undergraduate/graduate). President’s scholarship recipients will have the full cost of tuition waived for up to 15 undergraduate or 12 graduate units per semester.

THE DEAN’S SCHOLARSHIP

Dean’s Scholarships are awarded annually to students who demonstrate outstanding leadership ability and have a minimum grade point average of 3.2/3.5. The scholarship covers up to 7.5 undergraduate or 6 graduate units in tuition each semester for the recipient.

SCHOLARSHIP INFORMATION FOR UWEST

SCHOLARSHIPS AVAILABLE TO PRIVATES

FOUNDATION FOR AJ WANG SCHOLARSHIPS

Scholarships are awarded exclusively to graduating high school seniors with a minimum high school GPA of 2.5 who are applying to UWest. Applicants with a minimum GPA of 3.0 and full-time enrollment status are eligible for a scholarship award of $2,000 a year for up to four years.

FOUNDATION AJ WANG SCHOLARSHIP PDF

A SCHOLARSHIP IS BEING OFFERED BY THE INTERNATIONAL BUDDHIST EDUCATION FOUNDATION
BIEF

Students who enroll in Religious Studies and/or Buddhist Chaplaincy programs and have a minimum GPA of 3.5 are eligible to apply for an IBEF Scholarship of $3,500 – $4,500 per semester.

SCHOLARSHIP FOR IBEF PDF

Applicants must be enrolled in Religious Studies and/or Buddhist Chaplaincy programs and have a minimum GPA of 3.0. The fellowship awards $2,000 – $3,000 per semester.

MONUMENTAL FELLOWSHIP WITH IBEF

OISS (OUTSTANDING INTERNATIONAL STUDENT SCHOLARSHIP)

The scholarship program offers $5,000/year to international students who excel academically and provide outstanding community service on the UWest campus and in Fo Guang Shan.

Individual donors award these scholarships to outstanding undergraduates and graduates who demonstrate financial need, and a separate application is required for consideration.

RESEARCH GRANT FROM IBEF

Students enrolled in Buddhist Ministry and Religious Studies programs are eligible to receive $5,000 – $6,000 per semester from IBEF.

The OISS is an award for outstanding international students.

Scholarships of $5,000/year awarded to international students with outstanding academic achievements and outstanding community service on the UWest campus and in Fo Guang Shan.
