A scholarship’s perks
There are three types of scholarships offered by the University of Calgary:
- International Entrance Scholarship: $20,000 (renewable) at the University of Calgary
Criteria for scholarship awards:
Candidates must meet all requirements below to qualify for University of Calgary Scholarships:
- The required language is English.
- World countries are eligible
The University of Calgary International Entrance Scholarship is awarded to:
- Awarded annually to international undergraduate students who have met the university’s English Language Proficiency requirement for their first year of study in any undergraduate degree. Renewable in the second, third, and fourth years at the University of Calgary, provided recipients earn a GPA of 2.60 or more over at least 24.00 units in the prior fall and winter terms and continue to pay an international differential tuition fee.
- Non-Canadian citizens and Permanent Residents who are required to pay a differential fee
- Excellence in academics.

To apply for your undergraduate program at the university, follow these steps:
- It is now possible to start your application. Create an UCalgary eID first.
- For help with your application, refer to the application guide.
- You must submit your application and pay the $145 application fee.
- If any documents are required, we will let you know where and how to submit them in your Calgary Student Center. More information can be found on the documents page.
You can apply for the scholarship by following these steps:
- MyUofC provides access to your Student Center.
- Go to the “My Financials” page in your Student Center.
- Click on “Apply for Undergraduate Awards” in the Awards and Scholarships section. Popups should be enabled. You will not be able to view the page if popups are blocked.
- On your screen, a pop-up window will display any open applications or those that have recently closed.
